This weekend a friend of mine said she was making a heath bar cake for her Mother for Mothers day. So I politely told my husband that this heath bar cake would make a perfect Mothers day gift for Moi, seeing that I am a certified Heath bar maniac!
With only a couple of ingredients this cake was easy peezy, so easy that your husband can bust one of these things out without breaking a sweat! This cake is heavenly unique with its moist texture that comes from the condensed milk and caramel that leaks down into the holes ya poke. Also, I usually don’t like whipped topping, but it really worked on this cake as an icing.
I just had a piece of this stuff and it’s 8:30 in the morning! This is one those cakes that your tempted to lick the plate afterwards, but it wouldn’t be very lady like {so just do it when no ones looking}.
Here’s what to do:
1 box Duncan Hines German Chocolate Cake Mix
1 jar caramel ice-cream topping
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 (2 oz.) package whipped topping, thawed
2 Heath Bars candy bars, broken up
Make cake according to directions on box. Remove from oven and immediately poke holes in the cake with the handle of a wooden spoon.
Pour caramel topping and sweetened condensed milk all over the cake, filling in the holes.
Let cool and put whipped topping and candy on top.
